Yesterday I was called by the principal in her office. When I got there, waited a former student (Monica) and her sister to me. The parents of the two ladies are both died from AIDS (if I remember correctly). The two now lives with his aunt and uncle, who own three children. The family actually had a house, but due to financial problems they had to rent it. My admiration for these children is enormous. But unfortunately, it is fact that a lot of really fail for financial reasons. No money at every turn. For example, in Sabbavaram (our Palm Project) is just two buildings to be built. Time passes

I am now again almost 3 weeks in India and back again all in life. Since our return to work is somehow become a little more intense. On the one hand, because Easter was just, but also because I still want to spend more time with the children because I feel somehow that the time has really flies.

Last weekend was Easter, so ... principle really not a big festival in India, because almost all people here are Hindus. Since our project is a Christian, we celebrated Easter. Betty and I were preparing last week for each of the boys before an Easter basket. On Saturday morning we bought for 100 eggs and cooked it and then color it. Actually has surprisingly works really well. The only funny but problem was that we could not deter the eggs, because so does the water from the tap and hot 
On Sunday in the morning we went together with the boys from the shelter by bus to Sabbavaram. There we were happy to see huge I again all the boys. Then there was a beautiful joint exhibition, then followed by lunch. Then there was a program with dances, songs, etc. Meanwhile, we hid the Easter baskets of the many beautiful palm trees. Next we divided the boys into groups and each was allowed to look at Easter. Was kinda funny and a different way than in Austria.

The nice after such a day is then to keep coming home and then enjoy a warm shower (cold water would be nice, but there is something not currently in the pipe).

In Shelter we have every day now again Drawing class nut, but with the younger lads, they have now, namely in the afternoon always free. The drawing and tinkering with them is always very exciting because they can be inspired for so many things because they do not know many things in India and usually draw more perfect understood and will trace the boys then of course, extremely pleased, because it allowed us, for example, as yesterday, with paint and marbles make a note.

The school has recently changed the schedule for me a little. I have been teaching since last week, the first Class in English. Is a great honor because Volontaere not normally get to first grade. Waerden On Friday I was in school and non-additionally, the 6th Teaching English in class, that means that I then Monday, Wednesday and Friday am for one hour longer in school. Aja next to the "work" we have last week attended a lunch break in a girlfriend in her house. She has informed us on the way to her house that her family from the middle layer and their house is not so great. There was then a rather small kitchen, a small bath or shower room and a living room, where about three beds have space. I Have Chicken Pox. When Can I Go Back To Work?

family visit visa problems, Austria vacation and back to India

In the last time I wrote anything because it was so turbelnt, more action would be not really been possible.
As mentioned earlier I visited Dad, Doris and Christoph 1 February. They stayed 4 days with me in Visakhapatnam and I showed them shelter, school, Sabbavaram, the markets, life, people, etc. Was very interesting to learn their impressions, as for me most is very common. After this time together we spent a week in Delhi, where we saw the Taj Mahal and other sights DIVERSE. Life there is some much modern than here in Vizag, so it was for me very interesting to see the differences. But I was glad to be able to go back again after a week in my project and provided the children again.
A week later we got one for us not so good news. But first the background: We learned about mid-January that in India, the visa conditions were changed and we must therefore leave from mid-February for 2 months out of India. We tried another scheme to create but on 19 February was clear then that we had to fly back to Austria. We had three days to say goodbye to us all, and on 22 Betty and I flew in February homecoming together.
The atmosphere was just not going very well, because our plans and ideas had to be changed. Somehow, I speak very excited about the "culture shock" by all, because if I thought so to Austria, I could not really imagine that I will cover this.
But when I move there was, it was sometimes really a weird feeling, kind of hard to put into words. Only then I realized then how different life in the two countries. Especially difficult was But, as in Austria now was winter and the weather, but also the mood of the people of that time are not in top form. But it was wonderful to see how long I have received from family and friends with open arms. They helped me to feel myself again and probably spend some nice hours.

With good luck we made it but after 3 weeks to get a visa again and started on 19 March again on the way to India. The parting was not as difficult as I first knew what to expect in India and 2 I looked through my stay in Austria, that I was also there again in six months my nest and I will find my former surroundings.

When we had arrived on Saturday in India, the very great pleasure. Our cook brought us a taxi from the airport (she was the first time in an airport and wished it was a long time to see). The first few minutes of driving, I needed something to get me back to the traffic and get used to the environment. It was nice to enter our room and again So that's to be found, as it was 3 weeks ago. We rested briefly, and then went immediately to the Shelter for the boys to be welcomed. The reunion was great and the usual familiarity right back. Of course I was also in the afternoon to play with full enthusiasm in soccer there. The only difficulty is that We, the slow rise in temperature Stueckweit have missed, as we cooled down in between in Austria, so the approximately 32 - 35 degrees currently stand still as difficult, but it is already.
Today was already the first day of school and everyday life is as usual, as if there had never been an outage.
I'm glad to be able to be here again to continue my work, but now I see more and more postive side of the short Austria holiday. This is my lot here and I again realized in part with a different settings approach to things.

Thanks again to my family and my friends for their support for me in the not quite so simple 3 weeks. It's nice to have the certainty that I can come back any time and be collected.

Replacing An Auxiliary Plug

New Year, my birthday, Pongal, a visit to the tribals and a little bit everyday

your currently like my digestion is not so much, so I spend the whole day in bed and I decided once again to write a blog entry.
Since Christmas has returned until now still not much rest, but it was always a lot going on.
It began with a New Year's celebration in Sabbavaram. First we had a little fair. Then they danced together, shot a couple of cracker and then danced and danced and danced. Was a very nice celebration. Midnight, we spent threes on our balcony, with a light heart. Was really nice.
On 1 January we were of course busy in school and were even in the afternoon there because we were doing with the children a New Year's program with many different games. Very special to me was that we finally together with the children in the school lunch could.
On 1 Date of birth of January, our school principal, on 2 Jaenner then our Father and 3 January I was really celebrated as much.
My birthday was a special day for me. It has already started with a wonderful breakfast, then lunch with the boys in the Shelter. In the afternoon there was still a program in the Shelter. In the evening I drove Sabbavaram to where it is still a birthday party for the Father and I were. Then Eli and Betty were still in the room a small celebration prepared for me. The next day was then held briefly in the school. I've got so many beautiful drawings and so many smiling faces. It was an unforgettable wonderful day.
After these holidays fell back into our daily lives, but only for a week because of 13 - 15 was then Pongal, the most important festival of the Hindus. On 13 We still had school, but there were only 9 children there, so then, the next few days off. I did not get very far with the celebration because it was not celebrated in the Shelter. But our dear neighbor's large boxes placed directly from our balcony and 4 days long played loud music. I love the Indian music, but everything has its limits. ;)

This week we got the chance that we once again take the umd to Narsipatnam Doerfter to visit the tribals. We went together with Verena (an Austrian a volunteer) and Ken (a German a volunteer) on the way to Narsipatnam and then went on Thursday, together with a Father to different villages. Again it was a very formative experience, as we visited almost all new Doerfter and the hospitality of the people is so exciting.
A village was particularly adventurous. For this we first had a half hour walk up a narrow path up the mountain. When we arrived, people tend to hide from us in the other Doerften they ran us really accessible. In this one remote village, people were even afraid of our cameras and few dared to us at all give a hand. It is inconceivable that people live so isolated.

morning we have to do with the Shelter boys for a ride, because our Swiss colleague, Eli, unfortunately next Friday will go home. I'm really curious how it is without them .... it just belongs to us.
Monday and Tuesday we will be with boys from Sabbavaram and spend the Shelter in Vijawada that there is a program of all the Don Bosco street children project of Andra Pradesh. There is a program with about 400 boys. 'm Curious what is there waiting to happen. I'm looking forward to spending some time with the boys and also that we can all meet again Volos.

So at the end of next week we must unfortunately say goodbye to the Eli and then on 1 February comes to visit my family. I'm looking forward to it and am curious how it will be my new home for them to show.
